In this one day workshop, you will delight and discover Golden Paints, Gels and Pastes. You will use four distinct painting approaches, one for each season. Techniques and methods will follow the metaphor of the seasons as our poetic thread. We’ll honor, exaggerate and romanticize weather and the moods of the seasons. Experience with paint and your mind, the shifts and drifts, flows and cycles, sensations that stir your heart.
Winter, whites, pastes and dry brush techniques,
Spring, glassy glazes and reflective glossy surfaces,
Summer, bright shining and reflective colors
Fall, moody darks and matte surfaces.
Try your hand at creating interesting colors and textures that will shape, influence and light up your paintings. All the Golden materials you can use are provided. Please bring a 16 x 20 primed canvas. You may bring your own brushes. I will provide all the other materials and tools … and Golden paints. All levels are welcome.
