Museum Explorer | School Tours & Classroom Visits

NUMU’s Museum Explorer Program offers guided school tours and classroom visits related to NUMU’s Current Art Exhibitions and The Los Gatos History Project (LGHP), with hands-on activities introducing K-5 elementary and high school students in Santa Clara County to art and history in a museum setting. NUMU’s Museum Explorer programs support California State Curriculum Content Standards and are led by museum staff.


College Tours

Unguided tours are free for all college classes. Guided tours cost $15 per guest. Schedule your visit at least 2 weeks in advance.

In this toolkit, you‘ll find art examples, compiled by the Teen Council, for each of the 8 medium categories. For each artistic example, we have identified key themes explored by the artists and discussion questions. We have also included a list of quotes for further inspiration. You will also find detailed information about how to submit your artwork.
