Inspired by NUMU’s exhibitions that explore land as a core concept, we invite you to reflect on your own relationship with the land.
In both its strength and fragility, land is a source of pleasure, beauty and bounty, inspiring artists from every era. We have built our lives on the land; it is our physical foundation, essential for the survival of all human life, wildlife, and Earth’s vegetation – it is literally the ground beneath our feet and the dust to which we return.
Visit NUMU’s lounge to participate in-person, or create at home!
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use a blank postcard to reflect on a landscape that is sacred to you.
Why postcards? Postcards remind us of places we’ve visited, places we want to remember, and places we want to share with others.
2. Write, draw, or create a collage on your postcard inspired by one of the following prompts:
Describe a memory you have of the land that has shaped who you are today.
Show us a landscape that you hold close to your heart.
What does honoring the land mean or look like to you?
3. Share your postcard with us!

If you created a postcard in our lounge, add it to the basket provided so that we can hang it on our community art wall next to the NUMU art galleries.
If you created a postcard at home, drop it off at NUMU so that we can add it to our community art wall.
