It's that time of year again--and your Hogwarts letter has just arrived! Join us once more as we celebrate the Boy-Who-Lived--with arts and crafts! Make your own wand, get sorted into your Hogwarts house, and enjoy fun new Harry Potter themed art projects under the guidance of our wizarding experts. Explore an enchanting new side of NUMU with a special viewing of the most magical artifacts in our collection, learn to play Muggle Quidditch with the Silicon Valley Vipers on the Civic Center Lawn, and treat yourself to tasty wizard treats at the Lolli and Pops booth!

NUMU's Open Studio offers visitors of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore, discover and create. Ages 4+, no new entry after 3:30pm. All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

This weekend we'll be making art that really stands out--literally. Kids will learn the basics of pop-up art then use scissors, glue, and small knives to make their own pop-up creations. We will be demonstrating a few basic pop up techniques: sliding figures across the page, making them pop up from the page, and making figures move on the page. They will then design, decorate, cut out, and glue their very own pieces of pop-up art.

Totally Tubular! Create a cool environment out of paper and markers for a fun sea turtle you craft yourself.

Every Saturday from 12pm-4pm check out what we're building, making, and creating in our Open Studio hours! NUMU's Open Studio offers young visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore, discover and create. Ages 4+, no new entry after 3:30pm. All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

*MakerSpace Open Studio materials fee does not include adult admission to NUMU.
