In this special online event, NUMU curator Julie Ericsson will introduce us to curator and gallerist Craig Krull, the Juror for NUMU’s inaugural Art Benefit Auction, Art in the Time of Corona. We’ll learn more about the jurying process and get a behind the scenes look at the exhibition.
Art in the Time of Corona features artwork created during and inspired by the massive social and political upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many artists have taken the time of isolation to innovate, explore different media, or dive into new methods and concepts. This exhibition presents a rare opportunity to experience a wide range of groundbreaking work, united by this urgent theme. Check out our NUMU virtual exhibition page and visit our Auctria Auction platform to start bidding on the art. Proceeds of this auction benefit exhibiting artists and NUMU exhibitions and educational programs.
“Isolation has been difficult, but it has also been a shared experience. The artists that I selected for this exhibition have clearly been introspective while coming to terms with an unprecedented reality… employing their work as ‘a barometer of the moment.’”
— Craig Krull, exhibition juror
