Members Reception for Exhibition Opening: Abstracts From Life

This Members Reception will celebrate the opening of the exhibition Abstracts From Life.This exhibition investigates the genesis of the Bay Area Figurative movement and features several generations of artists, including contemporary artists working locally and internationally. The Bay Area Figurative movement has connections to West Coast jazz music, and we will be joined by a local jazz trio, featuring Michael Whalen on vibraphone, Jason Lewis on drums, and Ian Houts on bass.
This evening is an opportunity for NUMU members to gather and celebrate with other NUMU supporters, exhibition sponsors, exhibiting artists and NUMU curators.
A no-host bar will available at the museum. A wonderful selection of restaurants are located within walking distance to NUMU should you wish to grab a bite to eat before or after the Reception.
