Cuong Nguyen’s intimate portraits are rich in ambience and emotion. His installation juxtaposes paintings to suggest intricate interpersonal relationships. In the artists’ words, “My paintings depend on the dramatic portrayal of light, shadow and environment to create their mood and sense of realism.” Two Apart will show in the upstairs galleries at The Art Museum of Los Gatos.
