Join museum staff for a tour of the Los Gatos History Hall with a special emphasis on the history of military and firefighter service. We will be joined by retired Los Gatos Firefighter Doug Sporleder and former mayor of Los Gatos & army veteran John Lochner.
Douglas Sporleder retired as the Chief of the Santa Clara County Fire Department in 2002, ending a century of service for his family which began in 1901 with his grandfather, Louis Sporleder, Sr., and includes his father and brothers. Longtime residents of Los Gatos, the Sporleder family also represents business and military service in several generations.
