Boy Scout Workshop | Sculpture Merit Badge
Explore our art galleries with a NUMU Art Educator while earning your Sculpture merit badge. During the workshop you'll create your own mold and sculpture using plaster, discuss professional opportunities as a sculptor and the education and training requirements for this profession. All participants must come with a signed Blue Card.
Merit Badge Counselor and Instructor, Elizabeth Greer has been working with elementary and middle school students for over 15 years. She is a long-time member and past president of the Art Docents of Los Gatos. An active maker, Elizabeth enjoys exploring the intersection of art, science and technology while creating workshops and projects for youth including rocket making, digital art and photography, and LED artworks at NUMU and at the Los Gatos Recreation Department.
*Badges are not given to participants on the day of the workshop. Badges will be distributed to Scouts at their troop's Court of Honor ceremony. To receive a badge at the Court of Honor, participants must present their Blue Card signed by their troop leader at the workshop. The instructor will complete and return the Art Merit Badge form to the participant t at the end of the workshop.
