This exhibit includes significant historical pastoral paintings from private collections, placing them along side contemporary works that focus on our collective and continued fascination and pursuit of the unspoiled and the harmonious.

Get a ring side seat in Mitchell vs. Steinbeck which looks at the historical events that inspired John Steinbeck to write The Grapes of Wrath, and the controversy, and literary duel with a neighboring Los Gatos novelist, Ruth Comfort Mitchell, through her book Of Human Kindness.
