Virtual Closing & Awards Ceremony: ArtNow 2021 “Good Trouble”

Virtual Tour: ArtNow 2021 Good Trouble

On Saturday, April 24, 2021, we Celebrated Good Trouble with Mosaic America. Celebrating Good Trouble: A Mosaic of Artists and Performances, curated by Mosaic America, presented the voices and works of diverse poets, dancers, and musicians, featuring classical, folk, and contemporary cultural threads woven together to create a uniquely American mosaic. Featured artists included LaToya Fernandez, Lisa Rosenberg, Urmila Vudali & Ray Furuta.

New Museum Los Gatos is proud to partner with Mosaic America in celebration of the ten year anniversary of ArtNow. Mosaic is a nonprofit org that strengthens communities, cultivates belonging, and catalyzes inclusion through inter-cultural and co-created art.

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, we hosted a special virtual panel discussion “Unpacking Good Trouble” featuring Sofia Fojas, Ron P. Muriera and Usha Srinivasan. We asked our panelists to unpack “Good Trouble”, the theme of ArtNow 2021. As we commemorate the tenth year of ArtNow, we have a unique opportunity to dive deeper into how the arts can function as a vector for anti-racism in Santa Clara County and beyond.
