Art Donation

New Museum Los Gatos accepts donations of artwork, archival materials, and ephemera by and about artists who have a compelling relevance to the greater Bay Area (north to Sonoma, south to Monterey, and east to Contra Costa Counties) We collect a variety of art including, but not limited to paintings; limited edition prints, fine art photography and other works on paper; sculpture; glass, ceramics, and other decorative arts; and new media.

The Museum requires donors to transfer all rights of reproduction unless the donor does not own such rights or the gift is made by a living artist of their own work. In such cases, the Museum will seek a nonexclusive right of reproduction from the copyright owner. 

To submit a proposed donation, please fill out the form below as completely as possible.

Following your submission, the Collections staff will carefully consider your offer and evaluate our existing collection to ensure a balanced representation. Your offer will then go before a committee of staff and board members. Due to the deliberate nature of the consideration process, it may take several weeks to reach a decision. Should we determine that NUMU is not an appropriate repository for your item, we will do our best to recommend how you might find the right museum or institution to ensure the long-term care and appreciation of your donation.

Please Note: While NUMU works to complete an inventory and catalog of our current holdings, the Museum is not accepting artwork donations at this time.
